Be reconciled with God

RECONCILE WITH GOD

The Word of God says that God made man to be in friendship with Him. But man broke that friendship, went far away from God and started living in his own way. Living independent of God in sin. Thus, sin has separated man from God.

For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God. (Rom.3: 23) But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you, that He will not hear. (Isa.59: 2)

If we remain as sinners, what will happen?

…it is appointed unto man once to die, but after this the judgement. (Heb.9: 27) For the wages of sin is death… (Rom.6: 23) And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. (Rev.20: 15)

God is holy and blameless. He can never leave sin unpunished. But God loves man and He desires to save man from this eternal punishment. He is not willing that any one of us should perish. How can God who is holy and just, forgive our sins?

But God commendeth His love toward us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. (Rom.5: 8) …Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; and that He was buried, and that He rose again the third day according to the scriptures. (1Cor.15: 3,4) For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man, Christ Jesus who gave himself a ransom for all… (1Tim.2: 5)

It is a must for every man that he should decide either to accept or reject the Lord Jesus Christ.

If you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved. (Rom.10: 9) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the children of God, even to them that believe on his name. (John1: 12) For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.(Eph.2: 8,9)

You can receive the Lord Jesus now itself by talking to God through prayer. You can pray as follows: Oh, heavenly Father, I accept that I am a sinner. I believe that the Lord Jesus came into this world for me. He bore the punishments of my sins and gave His life on the cross for me. He was raised again for my justification. Dear Lord, forgive me and guide me from today. Oh, Father, I thank you for hearing my prayer and saving me. I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.

If you have sincerely confessed your sins and prayed, you are reconciled with God through the Lord Jesus Christ. Now you read the Bible regularly. The Lord through His word and His Spirit will continually help you and guide you in your new life.
